Data Handling, Cookies and Account Security at 1ev

Every layer of how we handle your data — from the moment you enter a UPI ID to the moment a withdrawal lands in your Paytm wallet — is designed to keep…

Data Collection

We collect only what is necessary to run your account: name, contact details, verified payment identifiers for UPI, Paytm or PhonePe, and device data used for fraud prevention. No additional data is collected without your explicit consent.

Cookie Use

Cookies on 1ev fall into two categories — essential cookies that keep your session active and preference cookies that remember your lobby settings. You can manage preference cookies at any time through your browser or account settings page.

Account Security

Your account credentials are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. We also support two-factor authentication for login, so even if your password is compromised, your account and linked payment methods remain protected.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, plus the period required by applicable Indian financial regulations for transaction records. Once retention periods expire, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

Your Rights

You may request access to your data, ask us to correct inaccuracies, request deletion where no legal retention obligation applies, or ask us to port your data to another service. Submit these requests through the Help Centre or by email.

Third-Party Sharing

We share data only with payment processors (such as UPI networks, Paytm and PhonePe gateways) and fraud-prevention partners strictly necessary to complete your transactions. We do not sell, rent or trade your data with marketers.

Common Questions About Your Privacy at 1ev

The questions below address the privacy topics our account holders ask about most — from what data we hold and how long we keep it, to how to request changes and what happens to your payment details when you close your account.

We collect your name, email address, phone number and a verified identity document for account creation. When you add a payment method — UPI, Paytm or PhonePe — we also store the associated payment identifier in encrypted form to process your transactions.

Your UPI handle, Paytm wallet ID or PhonePe token is shared only with the payment gateway required to complete your specific transaction. It is never passed to advertising partners, data brokers or any unrelated third party under any circumstances.

Log in to your account, open the Help Centre and submit a data access request under the Privacy section. Alternatively, email our privacy team with your registered address. We will verify your identity and send your data summary within five working days.

Yes. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time. We will remove or anonymise the data unless we are required to retain specific records under applicable Indian financial or anti-money-laundering regulations, in which case we will explain the retention period.

Account data is kept for the duration your account is active. Transaction records — including UPI and Paytm payment logs — are retained for the period mandated by Indian financial regulations. After that period, records are permanently deleted or anonymised.

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and preference cookies to save your lobby settings. Essential cookies cannot be disabled without affecting account function. Preference cookies can be turned off in your browser settings or the account preferences page at any time.

Contact our privacy support team first via live chat or email — we aim to resolve concerns within five working days. If you remain unsatisfied after our response, you may escalate to the relevant data protection authority applicable under local law where you reside.
